How strong emotions can control your memory? – Episode #008 Claim Your Freedom Podcast

Welcome to episode 8 of Claim Your Freedom.

I am your host, Aziza Alaoui.

Well, December is here the last month of 2021.

I guess every one of you is asking yourself, what did I achieve during 2021?

What happened in my life? What did I learn? What was that thing that made me the happiest? What is the experience that taught me how to become better, how to grow better?

Well, you’re not the only one.

All of us would like to know what happened during 2021.

In our personal growth, all of us try to develop new skills, a new way of doing what we’re doing.

Peace of mind, happiness, fulfillment, everything that makes us feel we are growing.

We are going forward.

But you know what? It doesn’t mean that it didn’t happen when you can’t find the answers.

Because I can tell you something most of the time, the mind keeps you in the negative thoughts.

If you don’t control it, your mind will make you remember only things that are attached to strong emotions that stay in your memory that are embedded in your body unless you let them go with kindness.

And you realize that, yes, emotions are normal.

Emotions are not something we have to deny.

Emotions are possible.

Emotions are reactions that we can’t control because they are electromagnetic, and they happen whenever we think about something that happened in our life earlier or something that made us feel strong emotions like fear, anger, anything that is really strong.

So it’s up to you to decide today that whatever happened in 2021, if it serves you, it’s okay.

Be it.

Let’s do it again.

But if you feel and you know deep inside in your heart that it is not serving you that is holding you back, well, let go.

Let go of it with kindness.

Do not deny it.

You know, when you recognize how you feel and you recognize your vulnerability, you get the courage to face it and to decide, well, it’s time to change.

It’s time to shift the way I think the way I act because you know that actions are the result or the consequence of the way you think every day, the consequence of how you manage your thoughts, and then your thoughts will create.

Emotions and emotions make you feel in a certain way that helps you act the way you do.

And of course, results are the consequence of your actions.

So where you think you have to give your attention because where attention goes, energy flows, your attention is important.

Your focus is important because when you focus on what matters, what serves you, you get more of what’s good to you.

You go faster and you go farther in your life because you’ve set goals and you focus on them.

You focus on them to achieve your dream, to say to yourself, this is what I’m born to be and to do and to have.

So let’s focus on it.

While if you wake up in the morning and you think about what happened yesterday?

Oh, my God.

I felt so bad about what he said.

Oh, I can’t bear the way she talks to me.

I wasn’t happy about how things really happened.

I am not happy about it.

And then you start again thinking about what was then what was your day before.

But if you wake up in the morning and you are still not that awake, you are still between sleeping and waking up and you feel like, okay, I am not that conscious yet.

And you decide, oh, my God. This is a great day.

This is the day I want to do this and this and that this is the day where I want to achieve this task.

This is the day I want to use to get closer to what I want and you manage your day in a way that is positive that serves you and serves your goals.

As I always say, it’s up to you.

It’s up to you to create the day to day that makes you happy and fulfilled at work at home, because it’s up to you to decide once you open your eyes, what kind of day you will create.

And the best thing is not to remember yesterday, yesterday is gone.

Tomorrow is unpredictable.

The only moment that is important is now.

So what are you going to do with the present moment?

Are you going to use it?

Are you going to be strong and make it the best moment in your life?

Because that present moment is followed by another one and another one and another one.

And that’s what makes your future.

Because if what you’re doing today and how you’re feeling today makes you happy, that will help you create more moments that will make you happy and fulfilled in the future.

So when you think about 2021 and you wonder how 2022 will be, try to focus on what matters.

Try to understand what you want first.

What is your deepest desire?

What is your deepest purpose in life?

Try to connect to your inner self, discover those things that make you tick and say to yourself, this is what will make you happy.

So what is it am I going to do in

2022 that will make me achieve that state of mind?

It’s a calendar that will help you set the goals to claim your freedom.

It’s not about the goals.

It’s about how you will set those goals and why you will set those goals.

What makes you feel?

These are the goals that you should focus on in 2022.

So grab it, take it, use it and enjoy it because it will open up your mind to what really matters.

Because when once you’re right and you have a journal and you write things, it becomes clear.

Your mind is like, oh, my God, this is it.

This is what I really want.

This is what makes me tick.

This is what is important and crucial for me to achieve to accomplish.

Well, it is your decision and be strong to make a decision.

And don’t self-doubt yourself.

And don’t be afraid.

Oh, my God.

What if I make the wrong decision?

Decisions are there to be made and decisions are there to be changed.

So if that decision doesn’t work for you, take another one, but don’t stay stuck where you are, you have to keep moving.

With movement.

You create action, you create energy and you create results.

Move all the time with your thoughts, your emotions, your actions and results.

When you feel stuck, it means you’re not in movement. You’re not trying to change things.

You’re not trying to shift the way you live.

You are too comfortable.

You feel so comfortable that you just let go of your dreams and you keep doing what you’re doing day after day.

Sometimes, you know, you have, I don’t know, a goal.

You have something to finish, a task to do, to move on, to feel better.

But your subconscious holds you back and you just find yourself sitting there in front of TV and watching a Netflix TV show.

Binging on it and feeling so happy in the moment and right away after it’s finished.

Oh, my God.

I know the feeling because I was there.

Regrets jump into your mind.

That satisfaction fades away so fast and you’re back to what matters

You’re back to, oh, my God. I’m still at the same point.

I didn’t do anything to move forward.

Binging on Netflix just kept me happy for a little while.

So I have something for you and that Journal and calendar.

I really created it for this purpose.

I have something for you.

I’m not telling you not to watch Netflix.

I’m not telling you not to scroll in social media.

I’m not saying that.

What I’m saying is keep your focus on what matters.

Have a schedule.

Know what you’re doing.

You can watch Netflix for a certain time and then go back to what you’ve been doing or to what will serve you better in your life.

Imagine you write on your Journal.

This is my goal.

This is what I want to achieve.

This is what will make me happy and fulfilled.

And then comes your subconscious holds you back.

Oh, my God.

No, don’t do that.

Stay in your comfort zone.

Your comfort zone is familiar.

This is what you know.

Don’t go and do something you don’t know about.

Ooh, it’s too difficult.

Your subconscious is trying to protect you.

Well, okay. Say yes.

I will do what you’re telling me.

But for this moment, that I am controlling.

After that, I’ll stop and I’ll go back to what matters.

This way.

You will control your mind instead of you being controlled by your mind.

You start telling your subconscious I am the boss.

I am the master.

And you are going to listen to me now.

And when you do that day after day, day after day.

Well, your subconscious doesn’t resist anymore.

It just let go of resistance.

It just let go of trying to hold you back.

It will tell you.


Let him be.

This is not bad for him or her.

Let them do what they want because your subconscious realizes you are the master.

You bring your mind up here.

You don’t leave it in your body.

You don’t let your emotions decide for you.

Emotions of the past.

You have to let go.

You need to let go with kindness, though.

Acknowledge them, recognize them.

Look at them, face them, accept them.

But let them go. This way

You create a journey of self-discovery because the more you know of who you are, the more you learn about yourself, the more control you get on your life.

You can then create abundance.

You have what it takes to do so you have it in you.

You just don’t know you do.


I remember when I used to be at the pharmacy.

That was my last business.

I used to wake up and drug myself to work.

I used to wake up and right away start thinking about all the problems I had the day before.

Oh, that customer wasn’t happy because we didn’t deliver on time.

Oh, my God.

What’s going to happen with the bank?

Do I have enough money to pay the loan?

Oh, my God.

Is my pharmacist going to show up or not?

Am I going to be able to stay at home today and rest all this kind of thinking right away?

I would start and you what.

You know what?

As soon as I do that, I lose myself and I lose control of my day and I decide what my day is going to look like already just after I opened my eyes and it was all in my mind.

It ruined my day to day life.

I wasn’t happy.

I wasn’t fulfilled because I was always there, bringing one thought after the other.

The more you think in a negative way, the more you think of yesterday, the more you will bring up emotions and thoughts around things that happened the day before the day before the day before.

And you go like that and you create this loop of thoughts, emotions, thoughts, emotions nonstop.

I was there and I can tell you it is not nice to be there.

It is absolutely overwhelming.

It is stressful.

It is even sad to let yourself do that to be in that state of mind.

And this is what I’m doing here.

I’m trying to share with you my experience to share with you what I learned just to make you avoid to help you avoid doing it for yourself.

When you learn from somebody else’s experience when you listen to how they dealt with mind blocks with setbacks, it gives you an idea about your life and how you can solve problems and how you can go forward by letting go of the same mistakes.

Just developing this habit to know that it’s all in your mind.

And yes, you’re gonna tell me mindset.

What about energy.

Well, I will share that with you.

Energy is crucial because energy is about emotions and that energy is important.

It is important for you to tap into that energy to raise it so you free yourself and you can create the life you want, the freedom of being doing and having what you want.

Yes, energy is important because sometimes we work only on mindset and we forget about energy and energy, as I discussed it in a previous episode.

If I remember it’s about spirituality, it’s about how you learn to embody that spirituality, which is knowing what life means to you, knowing how to deal with your environment, knowing what is the best for you, creating the connections, the relationship that lost, having time for family and friends, being happy, healthy.

Oh, my God.

Just find the time to go to the gym.

You know, when I told you about my business, I didn’t have time to go to the gym.

And you know what?

It’s not because I didn’t have the time physically.

It’s because I shut it down in my mind.

My mind was so busy with problems that it didn’t give me the possibility to do other things.

I would sit there and think, what if what if I did it this way overthinking what happened, being centered in what I did instead of opening up to new things, opening up to nature to just be who I am.

It was a difficult time, but I was able to overcome all the obstacles.

And yes, you can.

You can do the same because it depends on one decision, the decision to learn how to do it, the decision to see that you have all it takes to do it.

All you need is someone to guide you to really tap into what is sitting inside in the darkness and that you don’t know about. Someone to help you bring up the light around who you are and what is more important to you.

Guidance is very important because sometimes we think I can do it on my own.

I would save time and money.

But that’s not true. Myself

I thought like that before, but since I started having mentors, I feel great. I feel unstoppable because I have been there to show me the way I have them, to ask me the right questions, to push me forward, to push me beyond my limits, to remind me of what is important in my life, to remind me on what matters, my goals, to remind me to focus and keep the clarity on what I really want to achieve.

What I’m saying is think of what’s the best for you know what you want and go get the tools and learn how to achieve it.

This is what I’m talking about.

This is creating abundance.

It is not to create this urgency, it’s end of the year and you have to run.

No, no, absolutely not.

It’s just to bring awareness around what matters to you.

Bring that awareness and help you become more conscious about what is life about and what that means to you.

You see, I always talk about soul-aligned success, and that’s what you can create in your life.

Success that is yours.

The success that you define.

The success that you know is yours because it’s personal.

It’s individual.

Each one of you.

You have your own definition of success.

But the most important thing is that success is about your journey to self-discovery.

To grow.

Self-discovery means discover yourself and what makes you happy to achieve inner peace.

Inner peace is what this is all about.

Because once you have peace of mind, you have everything you want.

It means you are satisfied.

You are happy.

You are doing being and having what you want.
